About Mtre Julien Mercier
Mtre Julien Mercier offers representation and consultation services to individuals and corporate entities in matters pertaining to income tax, the goods and services tax (GST), the Québec sales tax (QST) and deductions at the source (DAS). He has worked in hundreds of tax related disputes and voluntary disclosures involving Revenu Québec and the Canada Revenue Agency. He negotiates with tax authorities on a daily basis in his clients’ files.
For several years, Mtre Mercier practiced law focusing strictly on taxation in large law firms. He is a member of the Barreau du Québec, he holds a civil law licence (LL.L.) from the University of Ottawa, a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of Montreal, a bachelor's equivalent in accounting from HEC Montreal and a master's degree in taxation (M.Fisc.) from the University of Sherbrooke.
Mtre Mercier is also a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and has an advanced understanding of accounting issues related to taxation. He has provided tax advice to entities of all sizes and has worked extensively with Canadian and foreign real estate owners.
